Maurice Blondel is one of the most challenging Catholic philosophers in 20th Century. His philosophy can be seen as an attempt to give a foundation for spiritual practices. His philosophy of action is based on a radical reflection on the Exercices of Ignatius of Loyola. Blondel attempts to develop a scientific method in order to understand human practice.
